Travel Actively is a local campaign to encourage more everyday short journeys to be undertaken in sustainable ways.

These could be journeys to work, school, college, the shops, healthcare appointments or any other local journeys we need to make on a frequent basis. Choosing to travel by walking, wheeling or cycling rather than getting in the car can help improve our health and wellbeing and can benefit the environment too.

In line with the Government's national ambition, we would like to get half of all journeys in Cumbria's towns and city made by walking, wheeling and cycling by 2030.
