Help Your Community Access Affordable E-Bike Hire!
We’re excited to invite you to help us spread the word about Wheels for Hire coming soon to Barrow and Carlisle.
Through Wheels for Hire, eligible residents in Barrow and Carlisle can apply to rent an E-bike for just £10 per month over a 6-month trial – that’s less than £3 a week! These bikes are ideal for everyday journeys, like commuting, shopping, or visiting friends.
We’re especially keen to support individuals who are:
- Aged 60 or over
- Living with a long-term health condition or disability
- From lower-income communities
- From ethnically diverse backgrounds
- Referred by an organisation or health provider
How can you help?
We're asking our trusted organisations to show their support in sharing this opportunity with your community members. Whether it’s by making referrals or helping people complete the application, we’d love your involvement. And of course individuals can share this opportunity with friends and family in Barrow and Carlisle - or apply themselves!
Due to high demand and limited bikes, we encourage early applications. If someone isn’t successful right away, they’ll be added to our waiting list for the next round.
